It’s so lovely to be blessed with such warm and sunny weather in September. While part of me is longing to layer up in Fall’s cozy knits, while out for a walk on Monday, I enjoyed the last official day of summer.
I love the way the sunshine plays with my new Flourish and Happenstance necklace, so pretty!

Ohh, how I love browsing through looks from Fashion Week. Thus far, one of my favorites is this very wearable ensemble from Rebecca Taylor Spring 2010. I’d probably skip the heels, opt for flats, and wear this absolutely anywhere. I am also loving the fresh-faced, daytime red lip…something I’d like to work into my own makeup repertoire.

I love having fresh flowers at home and lately, my bloom of choice is the Gerber Daisy. They are perfect for the trio of Ikea vases that line my kitchen window sill. I prefer to buy three of the same color, blush, peach and white are my current favorites.
And aren’t these the most fabulous little vases? You cannot beat the price, at $2.99 each why not get one of each design?!

As a lover of photography, learning to use Photoshop for work purposes has turned out to be a lot of fun. Although, hugely frustrating at times, (I don’t have a lot of patience), I really enjoying being able to creatively manipulate my photo’s. My current favorite technique is mimicking high dynamic range imaging, also known as HDRI or just HDR. Basically, when done by a photographer, this technique creates a greater contrast between light and dark areas.
Over the next little while, I will be posting my favorite creations. We use a lot of our travel photo’s as art in our house, and this is a fun way to make a normal photo a bit more interesting. It only takes a few minutes, so if you are somewhat comfortable using photoshop, I recommend giving it a try!

Shopping for vintage teak furniture is one of my favorite things to do. The hunt, the thrill of the find, the excitement of scoring a deal.
Sadly, this lovely bookcase provided only 2 of the 3 details noted above. A deal it was not! And therefore, it didn’t come home with me. Although it would be exceedingly useful as we have boxes of books that have yet to be unpacked, I couldn’t justify paying the rather ridiculous price.
The hunt continues….

If I had loads of money and was free from regular person obligations, I would hop a plane to NYC and stalk the filming of the Sex and the City movie sequel. *Sigh* If only…

I love this pic taken at Genoa Bay Marina. A few weekends ago we drove up the Island to spend the day on my husband’s parents boat. Food, drink, games and a yummy dinner. Sunshine and good times!
