Halston Heritage & Andy Warhol

Last weekend my Mr. bought a copy of Architectural Digest circa 1981 at a thrift store. It’s been super fun to flip though and check out all the dated spreads and ads. I snapped a few pics today of the 30 years old pages and look forward to sharing them with you!!
This is my favorite, a advertizing campaign that Andy Warhol did for Halston. Cool hey?
The legendary label has seen a resurgence recently with the Halston Heritage collection. The diffusion line, which was launched in 2009, reinterprets pieces from the label’s archives. I quite like the ‘Catherine’ bag (above). I almost bought the black leather version over the holidays, but decided against it when I couldn’t drape the handle over my stroller (ahhhh, how our priorities change as we age!).
On a side note, do you see the for Garolini at the bottom of the page? Well, Garolini once owned the licences of such companies as Halston, Fendi & Calvin Klien.

Ahh love both the ad and the bag! very cool!
Hey Alicia! Thanks for the comment!!
Nice pics, i love this bag!
cya!
What a rad post! I love that Stew bought you a (*ahem*) vintage mag, which sadly makes us vintage as well… tear! That ad is super cool… gotta love Andy! And Halston, of course… I saw a bunch of their bags at Winners the other day, gingerly merchandised next to Kenneth Cole and Nine West bags… what’s wrong with that picture?!
xx

Hey Miss Vickie! I know, what’s the deal with Winners hey? A long time ago there was this little yellow Prada bag, so very lovely, (Winners price was around $600) and it was just lumped in the mix getting scuffed and marked up. So sad! OMG, yes we are vintage now! Oy.
