I seriously LOVE it when bloggers do ‘What’s in my purse’ posts. So I thought I would show you what’s going into my suitcase this weekend (read the previous post for weekend details!).
I am trying VERY hard to pack lightly. And while editing my pics just now, I realized that apparently I’m not wearing any pants on this little getaway. This will make me:
a) popular
b) chilly
c) a flasher
d) embarrassed
Perhaps all of the above? Anyhoo. I have to go actually pack this stuff now. AND pick out some pants. Must. Wear. Pants.

Hello Friends. So, I feel like the blog is a little blah-g this week, hee hee. Do you see what I did just there? I made a new word. Aren’t I s.m.r.t.
Next week I should have lots of exciting new things to show you and talk about as we are off on a little mini-break this weekend. It’s our first mini-break as a party of 3. And let me tell you, there will be par-TAY-ing involved. That is, if the new definition of partying is sitting with your spouse in the dark, in total silence from 7pm onwards, because your baby is sleeping in the same room. Hmmmm.
I really am excited to get away though. Mini-breaks (and of course Maxi-breaks) are the bees knees in my book. I’m currently trying very hard to pack lightly. Since the baby has so many teeny tiny things she needs, I have to be ‘reasonable’ with the number of shoes I choose to take, etc. This is not an easy task. I’m totally the girl who reorganizes her suitcases in the middle of the airport because they’re all over the weight limit. Yes, people often stare.
What are we going to do while we’re away you ask? Well, SHOPPING is high up on the list. I have a lovely little wish list in my mind. I’d share it with you but I”m afraid it would jinx me. I’m already having a bit of shopping anxiety. ‘What if I find the perfect whatnot and they don’t have my size??!!’ – that sort of thing.
Ok, so I will talk about one thing on my wish list – jeans! Red (yes, still), White, Blue & Grey! I was wearing these ones (below) a lot during my post-baby weight loss and now they’re too big. I love grey and camel, grey and cream, grey and lilac, grey and blush…I think grey’s my favourite colour.
And, I’m super intrigued by these sunnies. I haven’t been able to find them in my city. Has anyone tried them on? They’re Ray Ban Cats 1000.
Ok, enough of me. How are YOU all doing? Anything new & exciting to share? OXO
So, I’m dishing out bloggerisms this week with a “Wordless Wednesday” and now a “Five Things Friday”. Good times, no? My Five Things are rather Spring inspired. Hope you enjoy! Happy Weekending my sweets!! OXO
1. Deliciously cute & oh-so cheerful baby shoes. (Don’t they look cute with her grey skinny jeans?!)
2. Lovely white tulips look fresh and pretty on my dining room table.
3. More yellow! A bright little coin purse to liven up my handbag.
4. Three reasons why I must pick up some white jeans this year! Shopbop

Lately, my internet browsing has lead me to so many lovely little videos and clips! My fab friend Vickie, recently posted the cutest vid ever of the day she received her new pink flatiron! Check it out, it’s totally sweet!
I’m totally inspired to create something myself, I just need to find the time (Dear Baby, Would you like to have more naps?)!
Until then, I thought I’d post this oldie, but goodie. Aren’t the Olsen’s amazing?! I’d fill my closet with basics from The Row if I could!
PS – Have I mentioned the GIVEAWAY lately? I have? I know. If you’d be so kind as to spread the word I’d be totally grateful! I want to make sure Gwen Delicious Jewelry is happy to have worked with i heart this blog! OXO

Bake at 425 for 25-60 mins (time varies based on the size of your squash chunks. Watch & test during first run).
Since my last Tasty Tuesday was well received (thank you commenters, i heart you big time!), I thought I would do another. My Mom sent me this totally dee-lish recipe recently, which best of all, is easy to make! Thanks Mom! Since the recipe is pretty simple, I will definitely be experimenting with variations in the future, adding in some other veg to suit my mood.
In unrelated news, my Mr. had a day off yesterday and while we were out and about, we snapped some impromptu outfit pics at a pretty awesome location…a gianormous watering can. Seriously. There’s a watering can that’s like a million feet tall where I live. I know you’re totally intrigued now aren’t you? Stay tuned!
Also, if you haven’t yet, make sure you check out the awesome GIVEAWAY this week, brought to you by Gwen Delicious Jewelry. (Yes, I will totally be pimping the giveaway all week, hee hee.)
