Hello my Pretties!! Did you all have a nice weekend?? What did you get up to?

On Sunday Mr. and I went out for a lovely adult breakfast. It was a sunny morning, we had a gorgeous waterfront view and I inhaled my favourite pancakes (whole wheat blueberry almond!). It was the highlight of my weekend.

Outfit Details: Gap jeggings, Aritzia jacket, Gap cardi, Attitude tank, Club Monaco bag, Citizen watch, We Dream in Colour necklace, Jeffery Campbell flats

Five Things Friday

anthrobeadbag

Isn’t this Antro bag divine? Oh how I wish I had an extra $228 (+shipping+duty) lying around.

cuttop

Remember this top (herehere)? I’ve worn (& complained) about it before. It has/had a weird neckline, so I cut it. I thought I had made it more tolerable…and then I left the house. Nope, still weird….just different weird now.

toms

Last week curiosity got the best of me and I slipped on a pair of Toms while out and about. It was quite possibly the most comfortable shoe I have ever put on. My Birthday is next month. Size 8 please.

hat

I bought this hat a couple years ago at Urban Outfitters. I am going to try to wear it more this summer because 1) sun protection fights aging (and disease) and 2) I’d like to get over my ‘I look lame in hats’ hang up.

weareallcanucks

Awww Snap! The Canucks are going to the Stanley Cup Finals!! Ultra-fun and anxiety ridden hockey parties await!! Waffles hopefully included.

(Please note that these are TEMPORARY tattoos. We did not tattoo the baby. No need to call social services. Thank you.)

I was going to make this post a ‘Wordless Wednesday’ because I’m try to get non-computery things accomplished right now, but I had to take a minute to talk about my shorts! Aren’t they cute?! Prepare to get tired of them, because my mind is a buzz with a million different outfit possibilities!

I’m seriously in LOVE with the print. Love love love. When I saw them in the store I had that ‘I can not leave without these’ feeling. Any special purchases excite you guys lately??

Ok then, off I go to attack the many messes calling my name. Or rather, taunting me in a mean spirited kind of way. Boo.

One of these things is not like the others…

Zara’s May Lookbook is pretty fab if you ask me. I find myself wishing that the above outfit would fit seamlessly into my day to day life. But I think I might get some funny looks rocking this skirt on the baby scene. What? You don’t know the Baby Sign for gold mini?

So I’ll have to settle (quite happily) for a more casual approach to summer fun. I do know the Baby Sign for play :)

I was hoping to have some super awesome outfits pics for today, but our weekend was taken up with business and productivity. Sheesh!

So, let’s talk about how ridiculously amazing Sarah Jessica Parker’s Elie Saab dress is, shall we?!! AH-MAAAAZE-ING! I want to wear it, sleep underneath it, recover cushions with it…I seriously love the print. And then there’s the all the exquisite details!

I used to post ‘looks I like’ fairly often, but it seems like a bit of a forgotten catagory! Here are some oldies but goodies: Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham, Emma Watson, Rebecca Taylor Spring 2010,  Ashley Olsen. Or to see the full list, click here.

This just in…It’s Thursday! You’re welcome. I seriously thought it was Wednesday. I almost posted these pics as ‘Wordless Wednesday’. I was feeling lazy and didn’t really have anything charming and witty to say. And then I realized that it’s NOT Wednesday. And Wordless Thursday just doesn’t feel right.

Thanks so much for all your book suggestions yesterday! Keep ‘em coming! I think I will head to the book store this weekend.

In other news, I just learned that on a golf course when people shout that thing they shout to make everyone duck and cover, they are actually yelling FORE, and not FOUR! You’re welcome, again.

Outfit Details: Gap jeggings, thrifted silk top, Calvin Klein belt, Club Monaco bag, Costa Blanca sandals, Ray Ban Wayfarers

Books

booksI realized a couple of weeks ago that I hadn’t read a book that wasn’t pregnancy or baby-related in almost 2 YEARS! Isn’t that crazy?! While I was pregnant I poured over ‘what to eat so you don’t birth an alien’ and ‘how big is your baby now‘ books. Once our little lady arrived, it was time for ‘what does this colour poop mean’ and ‘how to function on 3 minutes of sleep and not kill your husband’ books.

Now, 11 months in, things have settle down a lot, and the small amount of free time that I have at the end of the day is usually spent staring at some sort of screen. It’s like I forgot that adult books existed!

Enter my good friend Amazon. While Decorate isn’t much of a read, it’s so so so lovely to look through. And since I wanted to start out light, Bossypants was perfect, funny and conversational.

So, now that I’ve dipped my toes back into literary waters, what should I read next? Anyone want to read something with me?? I’m not to picky. Something light, not too epic so that my arms get tired holding it up, and not about Vampires (sorry). Ok, so I am a little bit picky :)
