I went online this morning hoping to find this necklace, but sadly it’s sold out. Isn’t that frustrating?! Feeing dejected, I started browsing through other treasures by Alexis Bittar. Hello Love. Here are two of my favourite finds:

I picked up this oversized tee at Gap last week and shamelessly wore it all weekend. It’s no secret that I’m crazy for stripes. This orangy-red number is the perfect alternative to my usual black or navy pieces.
And yes, I (ok not I, but Mr.) found my necklace and my watch! 2 down, 1 to go.

We happily spent one weekend afternoon at the park. On the way back to the car we stopped to rest on this bench. With the sun shining brightly, Mr. suggested taking a blog pic, but a certain someone was determined to get in on the action.

All around the city benches are placed in remembrance of lives lived. The plaque on this one read:
Art & Jean
Together In Love
We Enjoyed Our Heaven
Right Here On Earth
Isn’t that lovely? Happy Monday my friends.

My favourite little beach buddy and I exploring the sea together.

I’m slowly making my way through every fashion magazine in existence. Anyone have a favourite? Most inspiring issue?

Someone should just rename me Misplace-y Misplacerson, because right now I cannot find this necklace. Or my gold watch OR the bracelet from this post. Seriously, people. Seriously.

I never often post pics of coffee cups. So, here’s something new totally redundant.

My $14 American Eagle shoes are surprisingly comfortable. If not for my psyche as I feel like a total impostor wearing somewhat of a *gasp* heel.
TGIF. And thanks for all your sweet comments about the GP. You guys rock. xx

Even though it seems like summer has barely touched life on the West Coast, I can’t help but be excited about Fall. It’s my favourite time of year for fashion. And I love that overall feeling of a fresh start. Ingrained by the schedule of heading back to school, this time of year always feels full of new possibilities.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting September Issues (is it me, or do they seem to take forever to debut in Canada) and thinking about the holes in my wardrobe that I’d like to fill (yes, MR. there ARE holes, don’t give me that look). While I day dream of jewel tones, cozy knits and patent loafters, I’m not really ready to pack up my cutoffs just yet. Enter Chanel’s Peridot nail polish. Is it green, is it gold, is it bronze? Whatever it is, it’s all Fall, and it’s just what I’m after right now.
On a side note, I can’t be on my may without telling you that I’m Guest Posting on Delighted Momma today!! I couldn’t have been more thrilled to be asked. Lindsay’s blog is just as lovely as she is, so if you aren’t tired of me, go check out my post. And do yourself a favour and take a browse though all of Lindsay’s wonderful recipes, DIYs and mommy-bits.

With my last Remix I put together a nice little recap with some insightful(?) reflections. As for style epiphanies this time round I’d say:
1. It’s easier to Remix in the winter. There just seems to be more free time then. And a slower pace to life, for me at least.
2. It’s difficult to Remix with a 1 year old. Excuses, excuses, hey? I know. But since I’ve not yet trained her to take my outfit photos for me, and when I put her down to take them for myself she walks away (and into danger/trouble), I’m going to milk this excuse.
3. Don’t title your posts Remix – Day One (or any other variation on this theme). It’s seriously boring. I don’t know why I did it. And twice no less. I feel shame.
Looking back, I have to say that my favourite outfits are: 4, 6, 14, 17, 19, 21 & 23. Wow, that’s too many. Which look is YOUR fave??

Hi Kittens! Did you miss me? I missed you all oodles. I’m sorry that I didn’t blog last week. I intended too, but I ended up really enjoying a break from my computer. I should have lined up some awesome guest bloggers! Next time I will plan ahead.
Mr. snapped these photos while we were away. They weren’t intended for the blog, but we didn’t get around to doing any cool ‘photo-shoots’, so I thought I would just share these pics of me eating liquorice and being a dork (I will spare you my karate kid imitation!).

Here’s my vaycay DIY project. Cute hey? I’d been wanting to make this bracelet for ages. And the week before we left I had a tea date with a lovely friend (thanks for coming over M!!) who was wearing two of her renditions. It was a bit tricky finding the materials and didn’t quite get what I was looking for, but I love the end result.

I feel like I’m still shaking sand out of my brain after a week of the lazy-life. But I’m happy to back with you all. XX

Hello my Sweets. Sorry to be absent for a few days. I’m still enjoying my vaycay with the fam. I thought that I would be blogging, but our trip has been so jam packed with fun, that I haven’t spent much time on my lappy. We’re all packing up on Friday, so if I’m not back before then, please stop by on the weekend when I promise to catch up on posting. AND reading all of your blogs. I’m starting to go through serious blog-reading-withdrawl!. Although, I’m finding that sun, sand, and smores help ease the pain. XX
