Farwell Summer 2011. I greatly enjoyed you, despite your stinginess.

My last iced coffee of the season. I always feel a little bit like I’m channeling Nancy Botwin when I drink an iced coffee (minus the drugs & scariness of course). It’s sort of like how I feel Olsen-esque when I order a Venti or like how I would probably feel like Britney Spears if I ever ordered a Frappuccino. (FYI – that’s not meant to be a Frap dis!)

A homemade latte with a dash of vanilla takes the edge off the now chilly mornings.

There’s a new kid on the block. I just picked up the new Benefit cheek stain and I’m loving it. I’m such a blush girl. The original Benetint would probably be my one desert island beauty product, nosing out the other two tints because of it’s girly and romantic rosey smell. What would your one product be???

This is Pup’n'Stuff. Actually, it’s Dr. Pup’n'Stuff, but that’s neither here nor there. Somehow he’s managed to perfectly enact how I often feel at the end of the day. It’s like looking into a mirror. TGIF.
I’m eagerly anticipating a long and lovely Thanksgiving weekend. Family, friends, food events, what could be better?! I have a long list of things that I’m thankful for and one of those things is most definitely YOU. A super huge thank you to all of you that take the time to check out my blog. I love reading your comments and emails. You always make me happy and I’m thankful that we’re friends. xx

Ever since I posted these pics of our wedding/honeymoon, I’ve been seriously craving a mojito. We finally got around to making our own. Yum.

My current go-to, lazy hair style, is this mussed-up side pony with hair wrapped around the elastic.

I wonder if anyone else was a little bit afraid of the new Altoids packaging. I almost didn’t want to try one, thinking that perhaps a disgruntled factory worker snuck a scary batch through.

I’m looking forward to dinner with my family at my mom’s house this weekend. She always has the prettiest flowers from her garden on display.

Our week was full of wonderful play dates. Yesterday we had a picnic in the park and then strolled though a wonderful little petting zoo. I’m pretty sure that these two are plotting their escape.

home.
Last week our beloved furry family member Parker (aka Peebs) passed away. I can’t tell you how sad I am or how much he’ll be missed in our home. It was rather unexpected and many tears have been shed. We couldn’t have asked for a better little buddy. He was more than a cat, he was our first “baby”. It was a privilege to be his human companion for 7 amazing years.
He’s been on the blog before (here, here & here).
If you have a special furry friend in your life, give them an extra squeeze today for me.

Forever in my heart.

I’m thinking of changing my cat’s name to Nelly. Can Nelly be a boys name? Parker (soon to be Nelly) is soooooo needy lately. He’s almost 7 years old but he still acts like a kitten, constantly getting into trouble and demanding attention. He wasn’t too pleased when the baby arrived, but he’s gotten over it. For the most part. Sort of.
Mr. took this pic with my iphone this morning after Nelly, errr, Parker bullied his way between the pillows, his preferred sleeping place.
PS – This is my bed.
PPS – A totally awesome giveaway is coming your way tomorrow. Do come back. OXO
UPDATE: Parker is purring ecstatically in response to your comments. He would like me to put his picture on the blog more often and has asked me to give you all a lick…which I told him is moderately inappropriate seeing as we’ve never met.

Hi Lovelies! I’ve missed you all. I hope that 2010 is off to a magical start for everyone!
After a wonderful and exhausting holiday season equipped with never-ending-sickies and the trials of being pregnant, I needed a little time-out from my computer. Thankfully, I am now feeling fab and ready to get back to blogging. Special loves and thank you’s to all of you that have told me you have been missing my little blog! That’s so nice to hear.
One of my favorite pressie this Christmas was a new camera! I have been wanting this one for a long time and was actually very surprised to find it under my tree. It’s a perfect gift for 2010 as our house reno’s continue, Marble expands with some exciting new products and our first little one arrives in June.
Lots of posts are coming at ya this week so stay tuned. Until then, here are the first pics snapped with my new cam…oxo

I can’t resist posting this ridiculously adorable (in my opinion!!) picture of Parker. Although, I have been complaining lately that he is becoming a bit high-maintenance (now that I am working from home, he is a total attention whore!), he is still the best cat I could ever hope to have as my furry life-companion.
