Monday’s Sunday Style

A few people have asked me what I wore on day 1 post-Remix, which was this passed Sunday. It’s funny because as I got dressed yesterday, I breathed a little sigh of relief knowing that I didn’t have to post my outfit on the blog. I didn’t want to fuss, I didn’t do a thing to my hair, I felt like being very chill. We were waiting for the baby to wake up from her nap so we could head out to lunch when it occurred to me that it was Sunday, and before the 30 for 30, I had been enjoying posting Monday’s Sunday Style. So, I chuckled, dragged an amused Mr. outside and literally snapped these 2 pictures.

Don’t forget to entered to win an awesome hex nut bracelet here!

Hello Pretties! How was everyone’s weekend??

We’ve been happily immersed in All Star hockey for the past few days. It was really fun to watch. Except for the draft that is. Oh, the anxiety!

For those who didn’t see it: On Friday night the top NHL players were divided into teams. There were 2 captains that took turns choosing from the pool of players. Regardless of the fact that only 42 players were selected to take part in the weekend (from the hundreds who make up the NHL), who wants to be the guy chosen last??

I wasn’t especially athletic as a child and I dreaded having to stand there and wait to hear my name be called in gym class. I don’t think this method of selection is fun at any age! I like the idea of the players selecting their team mates, but I hated having to watch the last group of guys sit there and wait.

We watched Sunday’s game with my family. My Mom made a delicious lunch with lots of yummy treats. She’s an all-star at making desserts!

The last pic is of my brother’s vintage pocket watch. Seriously, how sweet is it that my 23 year old brother bought himself a bad-ass pocket watch from the 1940′s?!

OXO

Happy Monday! Hope you’re all feeling rested and ready for another week! Our weekend was busy with a side of boring. Hope yours was fun! Last week we barely left the house as I wasn’t feeling great, so this week the babe & I are after some serious excitement. Well, as much excitement as a 7 month old can handle anyway.

I have to cheat and show you my outfit from Saturday. I had something picked out for Sunday, but I ended up not feeling well and never made it past my pyjamas.

My Madewell order arrived on Friday, YAY! I couldn’t be happier with the pieces I choose, especially the jeggings (pictured). I’ve worn them non-stop since they arrived. So comfortable!! The oversized white tee (also pictured) is perfect, a bit sheer but not too. I will certainly be stalking their sale section for more great deals!

I’m super excited to be posting pics with a somewhat scenic backdrop! My Mumsie looked after the babe on Sat morning so Mr. and I could go out for breakfast. We took a short stroll down the street and snapped these photo’s before we drove off for our “date” in a car without a car seat. It was super strange and yet familiar, to have a meal out without a stroller parked beside the table.

After our delicious eats we made a few quick stops. Thrift store (me) and Lumber World (him). I found 2 pretty awesome items that I can’t wait to show you!

Hello Lovelies! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine seemed to zoom by with lots of activity! I snapped these photo’s just before we headed out to dinner. I had been on the go all day, so I feel like I look a little bit rumpled. Oh well!

A first for me, I went out for breakie yesterday with my girlies and left my happy little monkey at home with her dad! Since she was 5 weeks old, I’ve been attending a weekly meet up with the most lovely group new mommies. 26 weeks later, we managed to all go out alone-together, or together-alone? Hmmm, I mean without our babies!

PS- I’m excited that I’m finally able to sport a side braid…a year after we all fell in love with the Alexander Wang Spring 2010 look. Better late than never right?!

It’s been sooooo sunny here lately. Crisp and cold, but who can complain when there is such glorious sunshine?! We were in a bit of a rush to get going yesterday. I wish I had better pics for you! I’ll have to do a repeat because my sweater has some really lovely details.

Hello my Pretties!! Hope you’re all feeling well rested after the joyous festivities! Not to toot my own horn, but I’m rather impressed with myself for getting back to blogging so quickly after the delicious exhaustion of the past new days. I’ve really enjoyed my comeback to blogging, so I figured it was best to keep the momentum going.

Boxing day, I was feeling a bit bleary. While I enjoyed the holiday, negotiating all the events with a less than easy-going baby was a lot to handle. We decided that Dec 26th, would mostly be a quite day at home.  A quick trip out for coffee, cinnamon buns (our new addiction, thanks J&R!) and a stop at Home Depot required me to get dressed though, so this is what I wore.
