Photo tales from a little weekend adventure. We left our rock to go to a much smaller rock for the day.

Breakfast of champions: my current treat of choice.

Totally cool and yet, kinda creepy at the same time, no?

Lovely eclectic treasures hung outside a gift shop on the tiny Gulf Island.

Reeefreshing!

Organic Ice? Get out.
Mr. was kind enough to snap a few outfit shots for me while we were away, look for those on Monday.
Wishing you the loveliest of weekends! xx

Hi Lovelies. Hope you are all doing well and enjoying a happy Friday. The blog has been blank this week because I’ve been sick. Really grossly sick. I’ll spare you the details. Thankfully, it didn’t hit me until we walked in the door from our weekend away! I think I need to start having one of those green swamp-like drinks in the morning to make myself healthier. Does anyone make themselves one of those?
Until I figure that out, I’ll be enjoying tea from my vintage German porcelain teapot. Isn’t it a stunner? I picked it up last week for $18 at a second hand store. It’s a perfect fit with my other dishes.
Anyway, I just wanted to check in, say hi and that I miss you guys. I’m hoping to catch up on some things this weekend and I’m excited to announce another giveaway on Monday! Happy weekending! And watch out for sickies…they’re lurking out there…OXO

Want to know a dirty little secret?? I bought these bangles & belt during the shopping ban imposed by the 30 x 30 Remix! Naughty, I know. I just couldn’t resist. Altogether, the cost was less than $5 (love that!), and I wasn’t buying clothing, so I felt pretty ok about breaking the rules.

I, like oodles of others, love black & white. My current living room decor centers around this classic color scheme. Here are my two newest thrift store acquisitions. Now I just need to find them happy homes amongst my other “friends”.

So, I bought this lovely dove grey bowl the other day at a thrift store and just had to put some lemons in it. Pretty right?!

I’ve been a longtime fan of Shopbop’s lookbooks for outfit inspiration, yet, lately I’ve become disenchanted with my old staple. I find the new site design, which features multiple lookbooks,a bit overdone. Maybe it’s just me, but I want to drop by, have a quick peek and be on my way.
That being said, I just muddled my way though a barrage of photos, and couldn’t resist posting this pic. I’m excited to create my own version of this look with this thrift store top I scored last summer and some similar Guess shorts that I have had for years. Most likely I’ll opt for flippie-floppies (I’m just that kind of girl), and maybe by the time the weather is warm enough for me to take this look out for a spin, a new bag will seal the deal. Where do you look to for your outfit inspiration??

Shopping for vintage teak furniture is one of my favorite things to do. The hunt, the thrill of the find, the excitement of scoring a deal.
Sadly, this lovely bookcase provided only 2 of the 3 details noted above. A deal it was not! And therefore, it didn’t come home with me. Although it would be exceedingly useful as we have boxes of books that have yet to be unpacked, I couldn’t justify paying the rather ridiculous price.
The hunt continues….

Last week I enjoyed a great day of thrifting with my Mom. With the sun shinning and lattes in hand, we set out to score some treasures. Here are a few of my favorite finds of the day! I love them all and couldn’t be happier that the most expensive item was $7.
